Wyoming Legislature Set for Busy Week, Feb. 22-25

The Wyoming Legislature will be meeting remotely this week, with a variety of committee meetings to consider pending legislation.


COVID-19 relief will be discussed during Monday’s Joint Appropriation’s Committee meeting.

The elk feedground closure bill will be considered at Tuesday afternoon’s House Travel meeting. Thursday morning’s House Education Committee meeting will be a big one for school finance and recalibration, and is set to last all day.


Thursday afternoon’s House Judiciary Committee meeting will include a discussion of a shield law for journalists.

Monday, Feb. 22, 2021:

The Joint Appropriations Committee starts at 8 a.m. and will consider draft legislation on federal emergency COVID-19 relief funding, including the emergency rental assistance program, and CARES Act expenditures. Other topics include IT funding, state budgeting and expenditures, secretary of state fees, state investment administration, veterans’ property tax exemption, and community colleges.
