Carnivore Damage Prevention
Want to learn about brown bears and damage control in the Italian Alps? How about comparisons of predator control on land or at sea? How are livestock producers in other areas of the world dealing with large carnivore conflicts? If you are interested in any of these topics, you need to read Carnivore Damage Prevention News.
Carnivore Damage Prevention News (CDPNews) is published twice a year and focuses on the challenges posed between large carnivores and humans. CDPNews has moved around a bit over the last 20 years, and is currently housed at the Swiss center for livestock protection, AGRIDEA. The Autumn 2020 issue has a southern European emphasis, but each issue is different, with articles from around the globe.
Since its launch in 2000, CDPNews has acted as a forum to raise awareness of practical solutions, to facilitate collaboration among researchers, policy makers, agricultural consultants, hunters and farmers and to improve knowledge exchange between countries and across the boundaries of traditional disciplines. Each issue is available for free download here.
